ABSTRACT

The bulbourethral glands, also known as Cowper’s glands are two exocrine glands of the male reproductive human system. They originate as outgrowths of the epithelium lining the urogenital sinus. Neutralizes the urine secretion, besides lubricating the urethra prior to ejaculation. Rarely diseases affecting these glands are identified, and the diagnosis is usually incidental, but can suffer from infections, malignancies, and congenital disorders.
