ABSTRACT

Hemodynamic and pathological evidences suggest that in early stages of life, atherogenesis is related with the laws of fluid mechanics (primary factor) and later on, in the early life and mature age are incorporated secondary factors (risk factors) which it increase the atherosclerosis changes. This way, atheromatous plaques located in the intracranial arteries may provoke ischemia in encephalic areas related with the cardiovascular regulation and thus, to originate arterial hypertension of neurogenic type. So that, one of therapeutics objectives is the fight against the secondary factors and in severe stages, intracranial surgery may be an alternative in order to improve this hypertension.
