ABSTRACT

The induction of pneumoperitoneum is perhaps one of the most important stages of laparoscopic surgery. Is at this time, in which the clinician takes a series of decisions that may influence the surgical outcome. Complications from induction of the peritoneum can be serious and even lead to death. Besides, pneumoperitoneum itself may induce physiological changes that affect every system of the body and only through knowledge of its manifestations is possible to early detect the complications and its prevention.
