Key words:

Pemphigus vegetans, Neumann type.

ABSTRACT

Pemphigus vegetansis a rare variant of pemphigus vulgaris representing 1-2% of all cases. It is further divided in two subforms, the Hallopeau and Neumann types. The former subsides with treatment. However, the latter is a more serious condition that develops in folds, groins, mouth, hands and feet. It begins with blistering that erodes in too wet, red, crusted vegetations that leave a residual pigmentation. This is the case report of pemphigus vegetans of the Neumann type.
