ABSTRACT

We report the case of a 64-year-old female patient with a diagnosis of schwannoma in the right buccal region made by incisional biopsy; the preoperative protocol was initiated and she was taken to balanced inhalational anesthesia for its surgical removal, which was carried out without accidents or incidents. She is currently completing the sixth postoperative month and evolving towards improvement, without clinical evidence of recurrence. Note that this condition presents an incidence rate of 2-3% in the oral cavity.
