ABSTRACT

This article refers to two siblings with diverse clinical manifestations related to Varicella zoster virus. The eldest brother presented a symptomatology related to Herpes zoster whereas the youngest one had chickenpox clinical manifestations. We conclude that the former brother had chickenpox subclinical stages fifteen days after the youngest one had presented Herpes zoster clinical stages. Therefore, we concluded that the youngest brother contracted the disease at the beginning of the eldest brother Herpes zoster clinical stage. Hereby, we describe the clinical manifestations in both cases, the differential diagnosis, and the diverse ways of transmissions.
