ABSTRACT

In the Hospital of Gynecology and Obstetrics IMIEM, acute abdominal pain is the second leading cause of consultation. In relation to obstetric pain is the second leading cause of hospitalization, the first contact with the patient to the emergency department, it is vital to know the different diseases that cause acute abdomen which we must face. It is crucial to determine in the first instance if it is an acute surgical abdomen and if you need immediate hospitalization. The most important in this situation for our environment, exclude pregnancy is crucial, to begin assessing the patient, it is essential to consider such possibility of an ectopic pregnancy broken, it can become a matter of life and death. Early diagnosis of acute pelvic pain is vital that the delay increases in proportion devastating morbidity and mortality in the first instance and sequentially recovery time, the inherent economic cost to the economic system, and even in these harsh times in our career, the lawsuits.
