ABSTRACT

It is reported an association of congenital defects not previously described in the literature, given by double uterus and esophageal atresia with tracheoesophageal fistula and obstetric history of two pregnancies, spontaneous abortion and ongoing pregnancy. The chromosomal study in maternal peripheral blood and amniotic fluid reports normal karyotypes. At 22 weeks appears severe fetal ventriculomegaly, which is confirmed in fetal biopsy. The information available is not sufficient to determine the genetic basis of the association: double uterus - esophageal atresia - tracheoesophageal fistula.
