ABSTRACT

We report 10 pediatric cases of Tinea Capitis caused by Microsporum Canis, at the Dermatological Institute of Jalisco Dr. José Barba Rubio. The main goal was to determinate the efficacy and safety with itraconazole pulse-therapy. The patients received three pulses of 5 mg/kg/day for a week every other week. Mycological and clinical cure was observed in all the cases. No side effects were observed.
