The dentist profession in the globalization processes

ABSTRACT

The globalization impacts (Althoughis is not desired) to all countries structure. Culture, ideology, education, professions and it’s private practice, the quality and living style, are all strongly modified in the same process. Computer Science and Technological revolution are getting space in our ambient more and more frequently, which brings about two kind of society. One is the Information Technology society, which just consumes and reproduces knowledge and technology; the other, the informational not only uses technology but creates and recreates knowledge and technology. The Dental Science depending of both Technology and Computer Science, can’t be away of this situation, it is involved in two ways at the same time. The informational way can benefit enormously the profession, but the information way damage, even more, it can to destroy the Dental Profession considered as private practice. In this work, we present both scenarios. It depends on each dentist the selection of one.
