ABSTRACT

Objective: determine changes in static and dynamic balance of male players of Sitting Volleyball Team Colombia from the implementation of a physical therapy program through COBS Feedback platform.
Methods: a quasi-experimental study was conducted with 13 adult men of lower limb amputees; they were grouped into 2 groups (intervention n=7 and non-equivalent control n=6). In both groups a Sitting Volleyball conventional training program was implemented and a program of Biofeedback-COBS balance based training was added for 3 weeks in the group intervention.
Results: the results were related to actions (right and left), load (right and left), symmetry index and protective reactions. Noticeable changes on balance were evident in the intervention group than the control.
Conclusions: both groups showed changes in the measurement of static and dynamic balance, which was most evident in the intervention group. However, the changes were not significant.
