ABSTRACT

The concept of quality in health refers to the capacity that an organization can have or a sanitary assistance to satisfy the necessity of services in health. The level of satisfaction of the patient defines the fundamental indicators of assistance´s quality.

The indices of quality defined by the ISO 9004 norms were used as tools with the objective to value the quality of the medical attention in the ultrasound services at “Fructuoso Rodríguez” Teaching Orthopedic Hospital as a way to goal an excellent attention.
The design of each instrument valued the level of global and dimensional satisfaction. The presentation of the result included a brief analysis of each indicator of the assumed dimension.
The result obtained showed that the concentration of the patient´s judgments associated to the positive and negative aspects of the attention and the characterization of the concept associated to the attention ´s quality, it was evidenced that the higher level of satisfaction correspond to the technical dimension with an IQPi of 4, 24, following the interpersonal dimension with an IQPi of 3.76.The environmental dimension was observed with lower points (2.83) that correspond to in satisfaction.
