ABSTRACT
Our objective is to give physicians a specific vision of all the benefits of having medical records, both on a clinical and a statistical level and for generating a knowledge base for health care professionals and organizations. We highlight the advantages of the compliance in documentation, which improve the safety of patients and physicians, and is an evidence of best practice and an evaluation parameter. Finally, the article shows a brief landscape of the legal aspects of medical records, comparing the results of compliance against omissions on medical records.REFERENCES
