ABSTRACT

We present a case of a 52 year old female, who was referred to the Max Peralta Jimenez hospital with a history of abdominal pain asociated with a retroperitoneal mass, multiple colelithiasis and hepatomegaly, demonstrated by an ultrasound. Once in the hospital, obstructive jaundice is documented and a computed tomography was performed showing a 3 x 4 cm mass in mesogastrium. A CPR was done with no pathological findings, after this a right hemicolectomy with terminal ileum resection, plus a transverse ileum anastomosis and a cholecystectomy was performed. Pathologic studies showed the presence of neuroendocrine tumor of the ileum with mesentery and regional lymph nodes invasion.
