ABSTRACT

Background: The aim of this study is to describe the first case of prenatal treatment of amniotic band syndrome in Costa Rica. Methods: Case reports and publications study plus medical record summary. Discussion: The amniotic bands syndrome is a disorder with low incidence that can be detected early in pregnancy by periodic ultrasound studies. Its management consists in a multidisciplinary intervention. Conclusions: Early diagnosis and prenatal treatment of amniotic band syndrome in this case ends in a good clinical result.
