ABSTRACT

The scientific research is one of the dynamic axes of the human historical practice. The professional activity of the authors, during more than three decades, has allowed them determining the existence of difficulties in a practical way, researching the educational processes in this area of scientific knowledge and professional activity. Objectives: To identify problems of research in the area of the medical education and to propose solutions to eliminate detected problems. The study has an explanatory, qualitative, and descriptive nature; where some methods were used: bibliographical analysis; documental analysis (programs of studies of the five university courses, curricular strategies, master thesis, investigation projects and legal documents that rule the studies of graduate degrees; for example: Documents of the National Council of Scientific Degrees, professional degrees in Cuba, resolution 110/04 and Norms EPIC); interviews to Methodology of Investigation professors, students and postgraduates; Observation: Acts of pre defenses and defenses of master thesis and Student Scientific Days. Essentially, they were grouped into three big closely interconnected environments: the construction of theoretical and methodological foundations of educational research, the formation and development of the investigative competition, and the improvement of the scientific activity management. The different problems were identified and they were related to teachers, Methodology of Investigation, the education area, health sciences; suggesting means to solve the problems that were founded, if appropriate strategies are designed.
