ABSTRACT

Introduction: Occupational safety and health presents inside its scope of action the promotion and health prevention considered mains elements in the fight against cancer. Objectives: To realize a whole inquiry for prostate and colon cancer to all workers of the Center for Inmunology and Biopharmaceuticals of Holguín with 50 years old or more. Material and method: Taking into account the incidence and mortality of this pathology in Cuba , tests were realized to 13 workers of this scientific center. Results: All the results were negatives. Conclusions: This research reveals that the program for the control of prostate and colon cancer can integrate more elements that allow improvement, and it remarks the role that must have the responsible of safety and health work of each place in the intersectorial fight against this illness.
