ABSTRACT

Basal cell carcinoma is the commonest malignant neoplasm in human beings. Many different morphological subtypes have been described, many of them with prognostic implications. Keloidal basal cell carcinoma has been only rarely reported in the literature. The intense fibrous stromal reaction of keloidal type drives differential diagnosis with scars. Serial cuts and identification of carcinoma are clues to set the correct diagnosis.
