ABSTRACT

In Mexico, trophoblastic disease incidence is 2.4 per 1,000 pregnancies. The placental site trophoblastic tumor (PSST) is the second rarest tumor within these pathologies, with less than 300 cases reported in the literature. Its clinical presentation is highly heterogeneous, making it a challenge to distinguish it from other types of gestational trophoblastic neoplasia; this delays their diagnosis and affects their prognosis for survival because they have an unpredictable malignant potential.
