Fatal necrotizing fasciitis: A Case Report

ABSTRACT

Nowadays aesthetic surgery is very common and globally accepted. Nevertheless it is no free of mayor complications like necrotizing fasciitis (NF). This is a serious and rapidly progressing infection that involves skin and soft tissues with a great systemic toxicity. Due to the rapid tissue destruction and necrosis it may cause shock, multiple organ failure and death. We describe the evolution of a 33 year old woman who underwent various aesthetic surgeries with a fatal outcome.
