ABSTRACT

Background: Safety and Protection System, as a compliment of security and lawenforcement of the country, includes physical protection, security and protection of official data classified, informatics security, protection against fire and dangerous substances.
Objective: A design of a multimedia that facilitates access to legislation corresponding to Safety and Protection in force at the Ministry of Health.
Methods: For the application of its program a Mediator 9 was used and GIMP for the images treatment. The multimedia’s stages of development were followed according to Cascade Model.
Results and discussion: The Safety and Protection multimedia is composed of galleries of images, videos, music, self-evaluation guide and a search engine. It allows an easy access to the legislation corresponding to Security and Protection in force at the Ministry of Public Health and serves as a digital library containing laws, decree-laws, resolutions and instructions that regulate and implement the 5 sub-systems of Security and Protection and other relevant documents for the work.
