Experience in the National Center for Minimal Access Surgery on procedures associated with laparoscopic surgery

ABSTRACT

Introduction: the dexterity conquered in laparoscopic surgery has allowed to confront the treatment of two or more surgical procedures simultaneously in oneself patient. The conception of a multidisciplinary group of work by means of which faces the endoscopic surgery in the National Center of Minimal Access Surgery of added to the experience, ability and security obtained in the practice of the surgery laparoscopic bore to carry out through a single boarding laparoscopic more than a simultaneous surgical procedure, demonstrating developing advantages for the patient, the present study has as objective of determining the effectiveness of the realization of simultaneous associate procedures for surgery of minimum access.
Objective: to determine the effectiveness of conducting simultaneous associated procedures for minimal access surgery.
Methods: a descriptive and retrospective study of series of cases was carried out. In the period among February 2006 to June of the 2015. It was carried out a revision of 292 clinical charts of patients operated by laparoscopic surgery to who were carried out two or more associate procedures in the same surgical intervention in the study period.
Results: laparoscopic cholecystectomy associated to Laparoscopic Nissen Fundoplication, with a surgical time 2 hours in 73,6 % and a hospital stay of one day in 88,6 % of the patients. A lower index of complications was reported, 14 patients (4,8 %).
Conclusions: the realization of laparoscopic procedures surgical combined is effective, not affecting the indexes of quality and it facilitates an important saving for the country.
