ABSTRACT

The increase in population of patients on the waiting list for kidney transplantation has led to the use of marginal donors. We present the case of women of 25 years old with a history of mild preeclampsia. Presents data of gravity so it was decided to perform emergency cesarean, subsequent thereto with bilateral mydriasis and the absence of corneal reflexes, is evaluated by the Department of Neurosurgery and brain death is diagnosed secondary to HELLP syndrome. Kidney donation is decided as creatinine levels remained normal. The left kidney was received by a 54 male with renal disease secondary to obstructive allopathy, right kidney was received by a 56 women with kidney disease of unknown origin. Currently both patients are in good general condition with creatinine of 0.9 and 0.8 mg/dL respectively.
