ABSTRACT

It is vital to know the prevalence of microalbuminuria in people with risk factors for chronic kidney disease and the association with them. An n = 78 people who attended the squad for renal protection with at least one risk factor, whom underwent a test for microalbuminuria and anthropometry is determined. 30.8% had microalbuminuria, marking a tendency to obesity (p = 0.017). Age does not determine the presence of albuminuria, not the case of lifestyle; which will develop preventive strategies for renal protection from an early stage in people presenting a risk factor regardless of age of the population.
