ABSTRACT

This paper reports the case of a 37-year-old female patient, who presented as external patient because of a foreign body sensation in the throat for over 2 decades with progressive dysphagia, increasing in recent years. Physical examination showed a pedunculated tumor dependent from the right palatine tonsil, which underwent tonsillectomy having as histopathological result a lymphangioma. Given the rarity of the diagnosis and the few cases reported in literature it is described this clinical case.
