ABSTRACT
Adenomatoid odontogenic tumor is classified by the WHO as an odontogenic tumor. Derived from remains of enamel epithelium, it is an injury of slow growth and slightly invasive, but may resemble other odontogenic lesions more aggressive like the dentigerous cyst and the ameloblastoma, among others. We conducted a review of the medical literature on the adenomatoid odontogenic tumor, their clinical features, radiographic and treatment. We report the case of a male patient 15 years old, which presents adenomatoid odontogenic tumor of follicular type in maxillary anterior region of the right side.
