Digital distal keratoacanthoma: Report of two cases and review of the literature

ABSTRACT
Digital distal keratoacanthoma is considered as an aggressive variant of keratoacanthoma. It is a rare entity, but of great clinical relevance due to the challenge in the differential diagnosis of this lesion as well as with special attention in the treatment for this condition. We describe two cases of DKA with involvement of the thumb, and accompanied by an ostheolytic lesion. They were treated with simple excision without recurrences.
