ABSTRACT

Introduction: although there is a close relationship between the philosophical sciences, society and public health, has not been correctly assessed the importance of Marxist-Leninist Philosophy in the system of scientific knowledge should possess cuban health personnel. Urge recognize the usefulness of Marxist-Leninist Philosophy as a methodological tool to address contingencies that necessarily appear in all social processes of any complexity.
to expose the relations of the Marxist-Leninist Philosophy with society and public health, from the contents of the Philosophy and Society course.
Method: a documentary analysis, confined to the national bibliography in printed form, which included consultation of the Constitution of the Republic of Cuba and works that collect, from a current perspective, the contributions of the classics of marxism was made. The information collected was synthesized for its presentation.
Conclusions: the knowledge system of Marxist-Leninist Philosophy provides a scientific world view, which extends to other fields of knowledge and human activity. For the health cuban personnel to know and to use correctly the methodological tools of the Marxist-Leninist Philosophy in daily practice means to develop in a consciously way a health management up to the current requirements of the country.
