Hypoparathyroidism and Graves disease. A rare association

ABSTRACT
This paper reports the case of a 26-year-old female patient that during
postpartum presented generalized seizures and muscle spams associated
with severe hypocalcemia and hyperphosphatemia with inappropriately
low levels of parathyroid hormone (PTH). In the evaluation
it was detected autoimmune hyperthyroidism that required definitive
management with radioactive iodine and levothyroxine replacement.
