ABSTRACT

Cutaneous pseudolymphoma is a benign entity characterized by the development of a lesion with abundant polyclonal lymphocytic infiltrate, it is clinically asymptomatic, with formation of a violaceous papule or plaque. Clinically and histologically it could be confused as lymphoma, thus, the study by immunohistochemistry will be the gold standard for diagnosis. Treatment consists in surgical resection and the use of sistemic, topical or infiltrated corticosteroids, its evolution is favorable even to be resolved without any intervention or just when the cause of the disease stimulus is removed. We report a case of a pregnant patient aged 33, diagnosed with cutaneous pseudolymphoma confirmed by immunohistochemistry markers, the lesion develops after an insect bite and after biopsy of the lesion it presented iatrotropism.
