ABSTRACT

Pregnancy dermatoses are a group of disorders that occur as a consequence of immunologic and metabolic changes in pregnant women. These disorders are classified in four defined groups: herpes gestationis or pemphigoid gestationi, polymorphic eruption of pregnancy, prurigo of pregnancy and pruritic folliculitis of pregnancy. We presented a young-pregnant-woman of 35.1 weeks of pregnancy, who showed pruritic, extensive and numerous skin lesions. The clinical diagnosis which was demonstrated through the biopsy of skin was pemphigoid gestationi. She was treated on 40 mg daily oral of prednisone and it showed an excellent evolution to the seventh day, remaining with a maintenance dose of 5 mg of prednisone until the end of the pregnancy.
