ABSTRACT

Diverticula are intestinal malformation which tends to cluster in certain areas of the digestive system. Diverticulosis of the colon is frequent in developed countries and prevalence rises with age. The causes of colonic diverticula include alterations in colonic wall, resistence and dietary deficiencies. Diagnosis procedure depends of evolutive time that leads to conservative medical management or surgical treatment.
