ABSTRACT

Keratoacanthoma is an epithelial tumor characterized by its fast growth followed by involution in most of cases. The main risk factor is the UV radiation exposure. The possibility for local invasion, metastasis and the difficulty to make the difference between this lesion and squamous cell cancer keeps the surgical excision as the primary treatment.
