ABSTRACT
Acid base disorders are frequent
medical conditions that usually
represent a diagnostic and
therapeutic challenge for
physicians. However, the
prognosis of these patients is
related on how the disorder
is treated. In this article, a
review of basic concepts and a
practical approach is given for
an adequate management of
this condition.
