ABSTRACT

Oral Mucositis is a key symptom, being the most common complication in patients undergoing chemotherapy. It is important in clinical practice to be able to prevent and if so, care for, with adequate nutritional support. If left untreated, these harmful lesions could compromise the patient, from severe dehydration to sepsis and possible death.
