ABSTRACT

Wellens syndrome is an e l e c t r o c a r d i o g r a p h i c pattern that correlates with a critical occlusion or stenosis of the proximal left anterior descending artery which usually is overlooked. Patients are at a high risk of an extensive myocardial infarction of the anterior wall and serious complications, even sudden death. Patients should be aggressively manage with urgent coronary revascularization and stress induced test have to be avoided.
