ABSTRACT

The thoracic aortic aneurysm is a disease whose incidence is increasing more and more, most of these patients are asymptomatic and are diagnosed as an incidental finding in imaging studies. There are different alternatives for patients who do not meet the criteria for surgery, including betablockers, angiotensin receptor antagonists, metalloproteinase inhibitors and statins. Further studies are needed to quantify the effectiveness in the future of each of these treatments to improve the quality of recommendations.
