Cáncer de próstata: etiología, diagnóstico y tratamiento

ABSTRACT

The prostate cancer is the most common neoplasia and the second biggest cause to men’s mortality. Most of the cases correspond to adenocarcinomas in the peripheral zone of the gland. The diagnosis is done through the prostatic biopsy. It’s suggested to realize screnning with the quantification of the specific prostatic antigen and the rectal exam. Among the treatments we can make use of surgery, radiotherapy, and, in some cases, chemotherapy.
