ABSTRACT

Epistaxis is a common problem that ranges from a minor annoyance to a life-threatening emergency and the etiology can vary from a simple digital trauma to a neoplasia. As for treatment there are new trends for surgical and non-surgical management that will be implemented depending on the cause and presentation of each pacient. Finally identifying the likely source of the bleeding based on a thorough knowledge of the vascular anatomy will increase the likelihood of a successful treatment.
