Schönlein-Henoch purpura associated with chronic lymphocytic leukemia and antiproteinase 3 antibodies

ABSTRACT

Henoch Schönlein-Purpura is a leukocytoclastic vasculitis with Ig A deposits in vessel walls. Although Henoch Schönlein-Purpura is primarily seen in children, it can also occur in adults more frequently with renal failure and cutaneos necrosis. Some authors suggest it can be associated with internal neoplasia. We report a case of a 66 year old patient with Henoch Schönlein-Purpura associated with chronic lymphocytic leukemia and antineutrophil cytoplasm antibodies antiproteinase 3.
