Text Extraction

The current work approached the biography of the French surgeon Alexis carrel and his contributions to several fields of the medical sciences, as vascular urgery and organs and tissues transplants, being a precursor of the last ones. Making a bypass in arterial diseases is possible nowadays thanks to the techniques developed by him. And talking about heart transplant is not possible without taking into account his contributions. In spite of several contradictions of his social life, that are not the objective of this historical research, we could affirm that his imprint is present all the time in each vascular or transplant surgeon.
