Assessment of the functional capacity by applying work samples of the VALPAR system to population without disabilities at the National Institute of Rehabilitation

ABSTRACT
Objective: The aim of our study was to apply two work samples of the VALPAR system on healthy population for comparison purposes.
Material and methods: A group of employees and students of the Institution were evaluated for functional capacity by work samples of the VALPAR system.
Results: 187 people were included using tests 3 and 7 of the VALPAR system, where time for completion of the research sample were similar or better than North American workers.
Conclusion: The findings indicate the usefulness of having Mexican people values for making more objective functional assessments.
