Procedure for the occupational risks management at the Exporter and Importer Company Farmacuba

ABSTRACT

Starting from the guessed right tendency of considering the human capital as the most important asset inside the organizations and their influence inside the managerial results, it is carried out the present work in the Importer and Exporter Company Farmacuba, with the purpose of contributing to the best acting in their management system of occupational safety and health. For what intends a procedure for the management of the work risks, having as fundamental objectives in the exit of the processes the obtaining of economic benefits, improvement in the quality of labor life and the productivity in the work, in accord with to the Cuban legislations and the international effective norms, as well as the regulations of the sanitary national agencies. The method ‘Total Health and Safety Management' (TH&SM) was used and that technique Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to evaluate the management of occupational safety and health and diagnosing the process of occupational risks respectively. To identify the dangers the checkup list it was used and to evaluate the labor risks in the areas object, and the qualitative method of identification of risks Fraternity MUPRESPA and INST (modified) of Spain. A group of preventive measures was proposed in function the main factors of existent risks based on the technique 5W2H, besides it is were calculated a group of indicators to measures the actions related with the security and health in the work. As results the potential shortcomings of the process of prevention of work risks are obtained that could give origin to the materialization of the labor risk, denoting the necessity to implant a procedure with technical objective for the management of labor risks and indicators to measure the operation of the organization as for security and health of the work. Starting from it, the layout of measures is facilitated for the improvement of the labor conditions in the organization study object. The result of this investigation intends a procedure for the management of the work risks in the company allowing to define an appropriate pursuit road to give continuity to the thematic one developed in the investigation.
