ABSTRACT

Female patient, age 31 years, with chronic renal disease in terminal phase and secondary hyperparathyroidism causing metabolic alterations resulting in heightened levels of parathormone and, subsequently, formation of brown tumors which induced facial and bodily deformations with psychological and social repercussions. Such characteristics are comprised in a condition called Sagliker syndrome, first described in the year 2004, the global incidence of which is still under investigation.
