ABSTRACT

We report the case of a female patient who suffered from fever syndrome and arthralgias, presented antinuclear antibodies titers and had a history of penicillin allergy. We suspected clinical diagnosis of drug-induced lupus. Drug withdrawal was associated with the remission of clinical manifestations. This study was performed to determine the correlation between psychiatric manifestations and drug-induced lupus. The patient received corticosteroids, (methylprednisolone bolus), as well as cyclophosphamide; remission with treatment was observed.
