Annals of Hepatology (AH) is the only journal in Latin America fully dedicated to publishing clinical and basic research on hepatology, which was founded in 2002. We are very proud that AH is the official journal of the Mexican Association of Hepatology, the Latin American Association for Study of the Liver, and the Canadian Association for the Study of the Liver. However, I would like to emphasize that none of these associations contributes with any economic support to AH, making it economically independent from them.
