ABSTRACT

Myomatous disease of the lower genital tract is one of the most common reasons for gynecological consultation. However, vaginal location is infrequent and difficult to diagnose. On many occasions diagnosis is based on a fortuitous intraoperative finding. The clinical manifestations of vaginal leiomyomas are unspecific. Surgery is the treatment of choice, which is generally performed by vaginal approach.
