ABSTRACT

An epidemiological study in estomatology was undertaken to know the prevalence of the main estomatological problems in an adolescent population of 13, 14 and 15 years in Milpa Alta, as part of the buccal health program that is being implemented in agreement with the Faculty of Superior Studies Zaragoza. The study was descriptive, cross-sectional and observational type, taking a sample by convenience of 75 students in each public high school; one of each of the twelve towns that belong to Milpa Alta , 900 students altogether, 300 by each age. The average of global dental decay was of 6.2. The parodontal problem was measured from the hygiene indicator of the 0,7 and inflammation papilar, marginal and adhered of 0.4. The maloclusions through the Classification of Angle were of 71% Class I, 19% Class II and 10% Class III; there were not soft weave injuries or fluorosis in this population.
