ABSTRACT

The Wunderlich syndrome is defined as the one bled spontaneous, non traumatic of the kidney. It is a not very frequent entity that can commit the patient’s life seriously. The renal hemorrhage associates in most of the cases with trauma antecedents (an accident, iatrogenia, etc.), exceptionally the one bled obeys non traumatic causes. The case is reported of female patient of 67 years of age, with antecedent of diabetes mellitus and arterial hypertension that begins its clinical square with pain colic, sudden type, in a sharp way, located in mesogastric with irradiation to right lumbar accompanying of diaforesis, restlessness and later on with data of hipovolemic shock. Physical examination showed a tender palpable mass in her right flanck. They are carried out different laboratory exams and found in the abdominal ultrasound and computed tomography a rupture of her right kidney, with a peri-renal blood extravasation extending to the psoas muscle. A right nephrectomy was performed through and histological examination. The case is exposed to be uncommon and a review of the literature.
