ABSTRACT

The presence of ectopic mammary tissue or supernumerary breast, developed along the mammary line, is not frequent, but has a high risk of becoming malignant. This work presents the case of a 71-year-old woman with an increased mass at the upper end of the mammary line, near the right axil, and another mass at 12 o’clock, close to the areola. The anatomopathological study of both tumor processes of the right breast corresponded to a lobular carcinoma. The patient was operated; a positive right axillary adenopathy of malignant disease was founded. She received adjuvant treatment with chemotherapy, radiotherapy and hormone therapy.
